As a recent graduate student from the University of Washington M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction-IslandWood Graduate Program, my ultimate goal is not only to educate our future leaders, but to make sure that underserved communities know that they too can participate in changing our environment and that science is also for them. I wish to collaborate with federal, state and community-based organizations that foster environments for success for teaching, mentoring and learning for youth and adults of color. My future dreams and career preferences are to network and connect with the experts. I also hope to inspire others from backgrounds similar to mine by being an example of what they can achieve.
