Tiny Fish Inc. features resources and strategies to break/change/disrupt school systems inequities by diversifying educator perspectives and training educational professionals through working on their own personal and professional development and growth. We aim to make learning meaningful, sustainable and joy-filled for educators and students by offering:

Prep for educators to receive and interact with diverse student populations and partners

Examination of pedagogical approaches of educators and partners to better collaborate in their shared learning space

Plans for effective professional development to equip educators with tools for a changing environment

Supportive approaches that are flexible and based on the needs and goals of the intended audience

Practice in healthy coordination and communication with students, peers and partnerships
These tools are also designed to better understand how to build relationships with students and schools, make topics relatable to their audiences, and affirm students' knowledge.

ABOUT
Tiffany Barber
Tiffany is a Black woman in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Design and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M) and an environmental educator. As an informal educator, a past camp counselor, mentor, customer service representative, lab technician and research assistant, she has gained expertise with a variety of partners including federal, state, and local community-based organizations. Historically, non-white people have been barred from leadership positions in schools and other institutions affecting all our children. Her ultimate goals are not only to educate our future leaders, but also to ensure that underserved communities know that they too can participate in caring about our environment and be successful contributors to society.

As a part - time educator at the Burke Musuem in Seattle, WA, she continues to emphasize the intersections of natural history and cultural heritage in Washington state and support 21st Century Skills.​
